Ruth and Dax were so happy and so in love on their wedding day! It was such a perfect day and it was so special to share it with them. I loved so much of the day! The looks on each of their faces when they saw one another for the first time, the look on Ruth's face as she waited to go down the aisle, the kids excitement, and Ruth's big smile the whole day. But one of my favorite photos is of Ruth, her parents, siblings, nieces and nephews. It is quite a large group but what a special family! Josh Lamkin and I enjoyed capturing their special moments. It was a terrific day and I hope you enjoy this glimpse into their big day! Also, make sure to check out my new Facebook page!
Today is National Pet Owner's Day so I thought I would celebrate by sharing a photo of one of my two cats. This is Gehrig. He was originally named Tiger when we adopted him from a humane society. We renamed him Gehrig after the New York Yankees first baseman Lou Gehrig. Gehrig was nicknamed the Iron Horse for his streak of consecutive games played that only ended when he became sick with ALS. I have always thought that to be the saddest story and Lou Gehrig is the only thing I have ever liked about the Yankees. When visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY we were allowed inside a restricted area which was where they kept a lot of memorabilia. We were able to see the scrapbooks that Mrs. Gehrig had kept for her husband. It was one of the most amazing things. Here is a photo of my cute little man. Take a moment to check out The Good Shepherd Humane Society and remember when getting a pet it is always better to adopt than buy!
