I love collaborating with other creatives. Local lawyer, Pat McKee wrote an amazing novel, Ariel’s Island and I was asked to take photos for his book back cover. We had so fun taking some fun photos in downtown Newnan. Also, funny story my husband bought me this book because Pat did an author talk at his work. I was like I have the book and that’s my photo on the back cover!
My mom, Dr. Gail Hale wrote a book! I was excited when she asked me to take the author photos for her book. We had an awesome afternoon taking photos and laughing together. Her book is now out and in the world and I am so proud to have been a small part of it. And yes I know I look like her. I love these photos of my mom!
I think it is important to give back to my community which I like to do by volunteering my time and talent to different organizations and charities that I believe in. One of my favorite organizations in my local community is the Newnan Theatre Company. This is a terrific local theatre who puts on amazing shows and productions. I am thrilled to be able to donate my time to them by photographing their headshots and shows. When I was a teenager I had one brush with theatre when I had to go on and perform for my sister at the last minute due to her laryngitis. I knew all the lines since I had helped her practice so much. It was absolutely terrifying and I knew theatre wasn't for me. But I enjoy watching it so much. And there are so many talented people who perform at the Newnan Theatre Company. I strongly suggest you taking in a show there. Check their website for upcoming productions! This was my second photo session of the year with singer/songwriter Joanna Duff. I loved everything about this session at McDaniel Farm Park. Joanna's beauty just shines through in these photos. I love getting her in front of my camera because it is always an amazing experience. The park was s perfect place to get the outdoor shots she needed.
